CEO

I joined Footprint in 2016 as Head of Licensing, before taking over from Paul Kempton as CEO in 2021. In 2022 we completed a management buy-out, which saw myself and Hannah Scott-Stone becoming proud company owners. As CEO and joint company owner, my role is to head up our small team in providing advice and music licensing solutions for our international client base.

I have over 20 years’ experience of music licensing in the broadcast and streaming industry, having started out as a Lawyer and then becoming Senior Lawyer and Head of Music Rights at the Nordic broadcaster and entertainment company now known as Viaplay Group. That role gave me invaluable experience of music licensing in the Nordics which I continue to use to this day, and I believe that we at Footprint now have unparalleled expertise in the region, having being entrusted to handle the collecting society licensing for numerous other Nordic broadcasters and streaming services.

Since joining Footprint, I have overseen the expansion of our business into all other European markets, North America, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia, as well as into new areas of broadcast and streaming, such as FAST TV.

I have always had a European and global outlook, having grown up in the Netherlands, and travelled extensively over the years, and feel privileged to be able to work with people from across the world. These days my spare time is spent a little closer to home, with my children, playing hockey, cycling, or trying – mostly in vain – to grow some vegetables on my allotment.
