New Team Members

Andrew Holmes: Senior Licensing Manager

With over 20 years working as a lawyer in the entertainment industry, Andrew is no stranger to the business of music licensing. Before joining Footprint, he held positions at Turner (now WarnerMedia) and NBCUniversal where, among other responsibilities, a key part of his role was to manage collecting society licences, often working closely with the Footprint team.

As our Senior Licensing Manger, Andrew is primarily responsible for reviewing and negotiating licence agreements and other contracts while keeping an eye out for changes in the legal framework for music licensing and other regulatory matters.

Away from work, Andrew spends an increasing amount of time in researching the Great War. As well as co-authoring a number of books and writing and submitting photographs for regular magazine articles on the subject, he regularly organises trips and visits the battlefields of Northern France and Belgium and sometimes further afield. Andrew also regularly contributes to a history podcast.

Alex East: Music Rights Coordinator

Alex joined Footprint as our Music Rights Coordinator in November 2020 after graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in Music. Alex is the founder of a tutoring business that supports those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic – his initiative makes him a great fit for his role at Footprint. Whether we’re working from our offices in Richmond or from home, Alex brings youthful energy and is always keen to learn everything he can about our line of work and the industry.

Outside of work, Alex still finds the time to play his trombone, having dedicated many years to playing at the highest level and all over the world with ensembles such as the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, The Oxford University Orchestra and jazz band, the ‘Donut Kings’. Alex says that his most memorable tours are those where he represented his university in Bangladesh, Japan, Thailand and the USA. When he’s not on the stage, Alex enjoys being part of the audience at live events and hopes that, in 2022, he can finally redeem the Glastonbury ticket he bought for the festival in 2020.
